The Public Sector Interest Group (PSIG) is a joint public/private sector initiative focused on maximizing the value of federal, state, and local governments’ technology investments through transparency into spending. This initiative is aimed at leveraging private-sector best practices in transparency, benchmarking, planning and fact-based decision making and applying them to a government setting to ensure taxpayer money is being used as efficiently as possible.
The PSIG will build on the recommendations of the IT COST Commission to continue to assist government on their journey to adopt the principles and disciplines of Technology Business Management (TBM). The result of this work will be a set of implementation guidelines to accelerate the pace of adoption, increase the probability of success of government TBM initiatives, and help ensure federal agencies improve the value of taxpayer money.
